BMHA is an advocacy and membership organization comprised of culturally competent, patient and community centered licensed behavioral health clinicians. BMHA also serves organizations and the community at-large by providing resources and referrals to our members and community partners and through the offering of a range of educational forums, consultations and trainings on topics such as:

    • Valuing our Children;
    • “Talks” every caregiver should have with their Black children;
    • Historical and Race-based Trauma;
    • Structural Racism;
    • Cultural Competence;
    • Mental Health Stigma;
    • Social Determinants of Health;
    • Tobacco Education and Prevention;
    • HIV/AIDS Education and Prevention;
    • The Adverse Child Experience Study Overview;
    • Mental health/illness in the faith based community, among other topics.
